What gold pays for in Season of Discovery
Season of Discovery ended its content with Phase 8, Scarlet Enclave, and now sits in maintenance mode: no Phase 9, no new realms. A settled economy has one upside, which is that prices hold steadier here than on any version still getting updates.

- 800g, flat. No reputation brings it down, and on a level-60 season nobody argues about whether a mount is worth having. With no more content on the way, it is simply what moving around costs.

- Raiding Scarlet Enclave for a season takes 1,500 to 2,500g in flasks, potions and enchants. Treat that as the realistic figure rather than the worst one: a committed raider spends dozens of gold per night on elixirs alone, potions not included.

- Blizzard cut the War Effort Commendation cost of world buff consumables in half. It's still an expense every week you raid seriously, just a much smaller one than in earlier phases.
