Look at the order total, not only the rate
What you pay up front depends on each offer’s minimum amount even more than on its price per gold. Hardcore costs $1.0427 per gold, but its minimum is a single gold piece, so $1.04 covers a first order. PvE Horde, at $0.1200 per gold, sells no fewer than 50 gold at a time, which makes its smallest order $6.00.

The last column shows how far the Alliance price sits above or below the Horde price on each ruleset. On Hardcore and Roleplay the two factions pay the same, so the table leaves those rows out rather than listing zeroes. Since gold can’t be passed to the other faction, compare only the rate for your own side.
How beta gold works
This is gold for a test realm. Beta characters can’t go past level 30, and the world has been open for only a few weeks, so very little gold exists yet. That scarcity is what sets the price, and it is why beta gold is sold by the single coin rather than by the thousand.
You don’t have to find a matching realm. Each region gets one Forever world, so a seller is never on a different realm from you. Choose a ruleset and a faction, and the gold arrives in the world you already play in.
The seller hands the gold over in the game, by mail or in a face-to-face trade. Each offer lists its own delivery time; the lowest-priced one quotes within 30 min. To deliver, the seller needs your character’s name and faction. A Battle.net password or an authenticator code is never part of it.
Questions and answers
Does beta gold move to the live game at launch?
Plan as if it won't. The beta runs on test realms, and nothing earned there moves to the live game. Get beta gold for playing the beta itself, not as an early stockpile for November 4, 2026.
Why is beta gold priced per single coin?
Because a single coin is genuinely scarce there. Characters on the beta stop at level 30 and its economy is only a few weeks old: nobody has built up farms yet, little gold is in circulation and the auction house barely functions. Gold pages for established realms elsewhere on this site price gold in bundles of 1,000 or 10,000 instead.
For the same reason, today's beta rates are a poor guide to what gold will cost after launch. A brand-new economy with the full player base arriving on November 4, 2026 will be another market entirely.
Does my faction change what beta gold costs?
On some rulesets it does. Measured as the Alliance rate against the Horde rate: PvP +9.3%, PvE -24.2%. On Hardcore and Roleplay, Horde and Alliance pay the same. Gold stays with the faction it was bought for, so the only rate that matters is the one for the side you play.
Can I buy beta gold for Europe here?
No. This page covers the US region only: each offer listed above is for US players and priced in US dollars.
What do I need to give the seller?
The character that receives the gold, its realm and its faction, plus an email for the receipt. Gold is delivered to a character, so nothing beyond that is needed.
How is WoW gold delivered?
By in-game mail or in a face-to-face trade, whichever the offer lists. Larger amounts are often split into several hand-offs, and each offer shows its delivery time before you continue.
Before you order
