First question: are you Night Fae?
The Wilderling sits on the Night Fae Renown track, so the character has to belong to the Night Fae covenant. Renown is the whole job here; there is no drop to chase. Renown 45 is the milestone: the Ardenweald Wilderling Harness appears in your bags without any extra step, and you learn the mount by using it.
Renown 45 or Renown 80?
At 45 the mount is yours, but out of the box only Night Fae members can ride it. Reaching Renown 80 with the Night Fae removes that limit and opens the Wilderling to every character in your warband. If you want it on alts that chose other covenants, 80 is the number to aim for.
How long an Ardenweald Wilderling boost takes
Renown rises through covenant activities. A character that already has some Renown needs less of it, so the time depends on where yours stands today.
The wilderlings of Ardenweald
According to the journal, the wilderlings wake and carefully creep out of their burrows in the canopy as anima reaches the far-off wealds of Ardenweald again. Up close it is a slender fae creature with small antlers and a long tail, and it flies. Its price is fixed, with no options to choose.
Covenant mounts for any covenant
Two more covenant mounts can be earned by every covenant, and both are on sale: the Gruesome Flayedwing and the Dauntless Duskrunner. Our mounts section has the full list.
