One kill, three difficulties
Midnight Season 2 has two raids, and the smaller of the two is Tidebound Grotto. We sell it as a single encounter, Nymrissa Wavecaller, which makes a Tidebound Grotto carry one of the smallest raid orders we offer. Sit in the group yourself or let a booster play your character; either way the kill counts for your character.
What the Nymrissa Wavecaller kill gives you
The boss drops gear between item level 292 and 318, and a harder difficulty means stronger items from the same fight. There is a second benefit that does not depend on luck: the Great Vault. Every raid boss you beat in a week adds progress to the raid slots of the vault, so this kill improves next week's reward even on a day when nothing drops for you.
Tidebound Grotto carry on Normal or Heroic
Both of these difficulties come with group loot in the base order, meaning you roll alongside the raid. Everything above that is an add-on you can pick: unsaved group loot first, then armor-type and token priority, then full loot priority at the top. The priority tiers each name a number of items per boss, which is our estimate rather than a promise.
Mythic Tidebound Grotto boost
Mythic is sold in exactly one form, the full-priority option named for four items per boss. A version on group loot does not exist, so loot is already built into the Mythic price; in the table of prices by difficulty that option sits beside Mythic.
Alone, added on, or bundled
As a standalone order, the Grotto is the lightest way to add a current raid boss to your week. It can also ride on a complete Venomous Abyss clear on Normal or Heroic, or join that raid inside the bundle, and that bundle is the only route to a Mythic Venomous Abyss boost. It does. The kill counts toward that week's Great Vault, and you choose the vault reward once the weekly reset has passed.
How is loot handled on a Mythic Grotto kill?
Mythic is sold only with the full-priority option named for four items per boss; no group-loot version exists. As with every priority tier, that figure is our estimate.
