The secret in four steps

  1. Farm Abyssal Fragments. Creatures that serve N'Zoth drop them all over Kul Tiras and Zandalar, and you need twenty.
  2. Take them to the Altar of the Abyss in Stormsong Valley, where they combine into the Abhorrent Essence of the Abyss.
  3. Carry the essence to the Abyssal Icon at the far end of the Saltstone Mine. Activating it summons the Adherent, a rare elite.
  4. Defeat him: the Adherent is the one who drops the Blood Serpent.

If the Adherent wanders off before he dies, head to the Abyssal Rift and call him up once more.

Why order a Nazjatar Blood Serpent carry

Step one is the slow part. Gathering twenty fragments is a long farm, and nothing else in the chain can start until it is done. Our booster handles the farming, the summon and the fight, and you log in to a new flyer.

Who rides these serpents

According to the mount journal, corruption-ridden serpents like this one carry N'Zoth's senior lieutenants through the Great Sea, so summoning the Adherent is a way of claiming one for yourself. The secret also counts toward the Mind-Seeker achievement, a nice bonus for anyone who collects secrets.
