What you get with a Conqueror's Scythemaw carry

There is a single item here and no options to choose: the Scythemaw, a ground mount, delivered once Conqueror of Azeroth pops. Its journal entry boasts that a shell this hardened by battle shrugs off the heftiest hammer and the sharpest spear. That fits a reward you fight for in ordinary zones. No arenas and no battlegrounds are involved; the achievement is all about meeting players of the other faction out in the world.

Four tasks, six zones

Conqueror of Azeroth bundles four world PvP achievements:

  • Band of Brothers
  • War Supplied
  • Bounty Hunting
  • Tour of Duty

They are played across both Battle for Azeroth continents, in Tiragarde Sound, Zuldazar, Drustvar, Nazmir, Stormsong Valley and Vol'dun. The Alliance and the Horde each have their own version of the achievement, yet both lead to the same Scythemaw and the same title.

War Mode has to be on

Progress counts only while War Mode is active. The toggle becomes available at level 20 and works only inside a capital: Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Valdrakken and Dornogal all have it. With it switched on, the zones of Kul Tiras and Zandalar put you in the path of enemy players, and that open-world fighting is exactly what gets measured.

Conqueror's Scythemaw boost on any of your characters

Since patch 8.3 the achievement is tracked for the whole account, so anything already done on an alt still counts toward it. Once you check out, one of our boosters takes the remaining War Mode objectives until the achievement is complete.

Prefer a mount from rated play? Our Vicious Saddle carry explains how those are bought, and the Alliance Vicious Warstalker is one of them. Every other mount we sell is listed in the mounts catalog.

Conqueror's Scythemaw carry: your questions

What earns the Conqueror's Scythemaw?

Completing Conqueror of Azeroth, a Battle for Azeroth world PvP achievement, with War Mode active the whole time.

Where are the tasks played?

In six zones on Kul Tiras and Zandalar: Drustvar, Vol'dun, Tiragarde Sound, Nazmir, Stormsong Valley and Zuldazar.

Where do I switch War Mode on?

In a capital city. The option opens at level 20, and nothing done with it off counts toward the achievement.

Is there a reward besides the mount?

Yes. Conqueror of Azeroth also grants a title with the same name.

Will progress from my other characters count?

It will. The achievement has been account-wide since patch 8.3, so work done on any character adds up.
