You do not loot the Brinedeep Bottom-Feeder; you buy it. The catch is that you fish for both: what you pay with and the standing you need. Its journal entry paints these elusive fish as lurkers deep in the Great Sea, searching the dark for food.
His home is Margoss's Retreat, an island floating in the Broken Isles, northwest of Dalaran. The island has a pond, and that pond is where Drowned Mana is caught. It is the one thing he asks for, and it pays both for his friendship and for the mount.
Every Drowned Mana you hand in raises your reputation with Margoss. He sells the mount only once you are his Best Friend. Starting from nothing, that is several hundred hand-ins, and the fish itself costs a further 100 Drowned Mana. That adds up to a lot of time at one pond, and that time is what our Brinedeep Bottom-Feeder carry covers.
The Bottom-Feeder can be summoned in water and nowhere else. It is built for swimming areas and underwater play, not for travel over land.
The price is set, and the order has no options. If you collect Legion mounts, the Highmountain Thunderhoof is on sale as well, and you can browse the full mounts catalog for more.
