What a Venomous Abyss boost covers

This season brings two raids, and the bigger of them is The Venomous Abyss. Its eight bosses are Nek'zali the Soulcoiler, the Entombed Sentinels, The Lost Explorers, Vashnik the Malignant, Sszorak, The Twin Fangs, The Coiled Altar and Ula'tek, and Ula'tek is the boss that gives this season's AOTC achievement its name. The roster stays the same on every difficulty; what changes is the item level of the loot. With a raid carry, one of our raid teams takes your character through the instance on the difficulty you pick, and we sell each difficulty in its own way.

Start from what you want out of the raid

For the achievement, the full Heroic run. For tier tokens and a first set of gear, Normal. For the top item level and a mount, the Mythic bundle. With eight bosses to clear, the loot option shapes most of what you leave with: for a first clear, plain or unsaved group loot is plenty, while the priority options suit players who want as many items as one run can give. The items-per-boss ranges on those options are our estimates, not promises.

Each difficulty, and how we sell it

Heroic Venomous Abyss boost

Heroic gear lands at item level 305–318, and the complete Heroic clear includes Ahead of the Curve: Ula'tek. If the achievement is all you need, the AOTC boost page covers it on its own. No other difficulty can be bought in parts: besides the full clear, Heroic comes as a 6/8 run or as a run of the final pair. Normal Venomous Abyss carry

On Normal there is one product, the complete 8/8 clear. It drops item level 292–302 together with tier tokens, and the starting loot option is unsaved group loot, so anything the boosters pass up already comes to you before you pay for priority. It fits an alt, a character returning to the game, or a player seeing the fights for the first time. The Venomous Abyss Normal boost has its loot table.

Mythic Venomous Abyss boost

You will not find Mythic as a standalone run. It is part of the bundle with Tidebound Grotto, and inside the bundle you set the boss count, anywhere between 2/8 and 8/8. Every Mythic order runs on full loot priority. Gear in the bundle goes as high as item level 344, and the bundle names a mount on Mythic.

Both Season 2 raids in one order

Any full Normal or Heroic clear can take Tidebound Grotto on top. The bundle instead pairs the two raids at whatever difficulty you like, so all of the week's current raid bosses fit into a single order.
